How It Started

The Beginning : the Forum

In February 2017, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. held the Community Forum Safeguarding Our communities, Upholding Our Shared Values, opening discussions on anti-immigrant sentiment and racially discriminatory incidents in Canada.

The RounDtables

The Community Roundtables, All Our Neighbours, provide an on-going opportunity for local communities to share their concerns in a public forum, and engage in informed conversations and open dialogue about immigration and racial discrimination.

There will be at least six Roundtables, each held within a different municipality. Please see below for details regarding each Roundtable.

Both the Community Forum and  the following Roundtables aim to discuss the impact of recent incidents of racial discrimination towards newcomers and that of racially-charged sentiments in the media.

All Our Neighbours encourages residents to engage in honest, open conversations between newcomers, immigrants, and long-time residents, as neighbours who are speaking to their experiences, and to reaffirm our shared values and acknowledge the historic contribution of immigrants to the prosperity of B.C.
